Free tool
See how your page looks when it's shared.
Paste a URL and preview it on Facebook, Twitter/X, LinkedIn and Slack — and check the image behind it actually loads.
What it checks
- Facebook, Twitter/X, LinkedIn and Slack previews, side by side
- Whether your og:image actually loads — not just whether the tag exists
- Image dimensions and file size against what each platform recommends
- Missing or broken Open Graph and Twitter Card tags
How it works
Three steps
01
Paste your URL
No login, no signup — just the page you want to check.
02
We fetch the page and its image
We read the page's Open Graph and Twitter Card tags, then actually load the image they point to — most checkers stop at the tag.
03
See the real preview
Compare exactly how the link will look before you share it, with a link you can send to anyone.
Why it is free
A broken preview is an easy thing to miss — and an easy thing to fix.
Nobody looks at their own site's share preview day to day — you only notice when a customer mentions the link looked odd, or a social post goes out with no image. We offer this free because it's a quick, concrete problem to find, and some of the people who find one end up talking to us about the rest of their site's SEO.
Want a full SEO audit, not just the share preview? We check titles, meta descriptions, sitemap coverage, broken links and more.
Common questions
Why does my link look wrong when I share it on Facebook or Twitter?
The preview card — image, title, description — comes from a page's Open Graph (and Twitter Card) tags, not from what's visible on the page itself. If those tags are missing, wrong, or point to an image that no longer loads, the platform falls back to a blank box, the wrong image, or a generic title.
What are Open Graph tags?
A handful of <meta> tags in a page's <head> (og:title, og:description, og:image, and similar) that tell Facebook, LinkedIn, Slack and other platforms what to show when the link is shared. Twitter/X uses its own similar set, twitter:card and friends.
How is this different from Facebook's Sharing Debugger?
Facebook's tool only shows you Facebook's own preview, and only checks that the tags exist. Ours shows Facebook, Twitter/X, LinkedIn and Slack together, and actually loads the og:image to confirm it works and is a sensible size — not just that the tag is present.
Do I need a developer to fix a broken preview?
Often it's a one-line fix — a missing tag or a typo'd image path. If you'd rather not dig into it yourself, send us the result and we'll tell you what's wrong and what it'd take to fix.
Is it really free?
Yes — no signup, no catch. Same reasoning as our free SEO check: it surfaces real problems, and some of the people who find one end up talking to us about fixing it properly.
