What the video covers

  • What's working — so you don't change the wrong thing
  • What's likely costing you enquiries on mobile and desktop
  • How you show up on Google for your own business name
  • The three fixes we would do first, in plain English

How it works

Three steps

01

Send us your URL

Fill in the contact form with your website and anything you want us to look at in particular.

02

Chris goes through it

A real person looks at your site the way a customer would, and records the screen while talking it through.

03

You get a link to the video

About five minutes long. Watch it when it suits, share it with whoever looks after your site. That's it.

Who's looking

Chris has been building websites since 2000.

Virgola is Chris Toynbee and Neva Poletti — a developer and a UX designer based in Golden Bay. The review isn't a template or an automated score; it's what we'd tell you if you sat down with us and asked.

Fix things yourself, pass the video to your developer, or ask us for a fixed quote. Websites from $350 incl. GST if you decide a rebuild makes more sense.

Common questions

Is the video review really free?

Yes. No card details, no sales call, no obligation. We do it because it's the quickest way for you to see how we think — and some people end up asking us to fix what we found.

How is this different from the free SEO check?

The free SEO check is an automated crawl that emails you a report. The video review is a person looking at your site as a customer would — first impressions, how easy it is to get in touch, what would put someone off. They pick up different things, and you can have both.

Do I need to be in Nelson or Tasman?

No. We're based in Golden Bay and most of our clients are around the Top of the South, but the review is done over the internet, so we're happy to look at any New Zealand business website.

What if my site was built on Wix, Squarespace or WordPress?

That's fine — the review is about what your customers see, not the platform. Where a fix depends on the platform, we'll say so.
